MK Gateway team ‘gives back’ by volunteering at MK Food Bank

The team behind the MK Gateway development marked their company’s one year anniversary last week by working with MK Food Bank for the day.

In a series of ‘Giving Back’ initiatives, the Socius team visited UK towns and cities, home to their developments, throughout the week by volunteering their time with local charities.

In Milton Keynes, six members of the Socius team joined MK Food Bank at their warehouse, sorting and packing much-needed food parcels for the local community.

Supporting over 5,000 families every year, MK Food Bank provides a lifeline for so many and with the cost of living continuing to bite, demand on the Food Bank has risen.

Liam Ronan-Chlond, Socius Social Value Lead said: “Whilst the entire Socius team volunteers throughout the year, coming together on our one-year anniversary was a good way to build on our partnerships with the excellent local charities which work so hard for the communities. MK Food Bank does a fantastic job within the city, but they are facing a challenging time due to the significant increase in demand for their services so we were keen to offer our support in any way that we could.”
