A New Era for Saxon Court, A New Gateway for Milton Keynes
Proposed repurposing of Saxon Court
After extensive stakeholder engagement and wide-ranging public consultation, we have now submitted a planning application to Milton Keynes Council for the MK Gateway development, on the site of Saxon Court.
Saxon Court will be retained, refurbished and extended to provide additional modern office space for the knowledge-based economy, including flexible co-working space.
Saxon Court’s atrium will become a new indoor public square, with associated community space and suitable for local independent food, drink, leisure and retail
There will also be a new low-rise building on South 8th Street, called The Shed, which will provide accessible workshop and maker space.
288 new apartments for rent within a new 34-storey landmark building, called The Village. Representing a UK-first, this future in urban living will feature a series of vertical village spaces, providing communal outdoor space for residents. Over one third of these homes (31%) will be affordable, in compliance with Council policy.
The Neighbourhood, will comprise an outdoor public square, with green space, which will host outdoor dining, pop-up events, community activities and public art.
